Bipolar Bear

Bipolar Bear continued without Bryan recording another split 7" with Watusi Zombie on Kill Shaman and two more records with Yosada. Soon after, the phone rang again and Kirchhammer had to take care of business downtown leaving the band without her skin-hitting skillz. And then there were only two. Birk sat Paul down and asked him to focus on something for once in his life. Paul agreed and after finishing yet another degree at genius school, decided to recruit thier new drummer Marc at Birk's request. They laid down some quick jams and lined up releases on Limited Appeal EXO in Australia, and Label in Germany. After playing the Smell for the gazillionth time, Paul asked owner Jim if he wanted to do a record too and so came about the Ol Factory split with Talbot Tagora. During their four year stint Bipolar Bear have played with The Slits, Weird War, The Intelligence, The Get Hustle, Becky Stark, Old Time Relijun, Numbers, No Age, Abe Vigoda, Health, Times New Viking, The Lamps, Mae-Shi, Mika Miko, Silver Daggers, Anavan, Kill Me Tomorrow, Oh Sees, The King Brothers, Pink Reason, TV Ghost, Japanther, Bad Dudes and pretty much everyone else that has come through the Smell or Il Coral. As usual, Bipolar Bear opens the show and then Birk and Paul sit together and wait for someone to talk to them about the A-Frames, Worst Case Scenario, Young Ginns, Monorchid or anything else they are ripping off at the moment. Then the phone rings… its Watson.
